DTU Aqua

DTU Aqua is DTU’s National Institute of Aquatic Resources and conducts research, provides scientific advice, and offers education in the fields and marine ecosystems, fisheries, aquaculture, and freshwater ecology.

The institute conducts research on topics including marine ecosystems, biodiversity, fish stocks, the marine environment, climate change, and the sustainable use of aquatic resources. DTU Aqua also provides research-based advice to Danish and international authorities and collaborations with businesses, organizations, and research institutions to develop more sustainable solutions for the blue economy.

In addition, DTU Aqua contributes to the development of new technologies and knowledge in areas such as fisheries management, marine monitoring, aquaculture, and marine ecosystems.
