Technology
Stopping plastic before it reaches the ocean
SeaProtectorOne, developed by All In On Green, is one of the key collection technologies used within Riverguard, designed to capture floating waste while allowing the natural flow of the waterway to continue.
SeaProtectorOne
SeaProtectorOne is a modular collection system designed to intercept floating waste in rivers, streams and canals before it reaches the ocean.
Using a mechanical arm with an integrated filter unit, the system guides and collects waste from the water and transfers it to a container on land. Intelligent sensors allow SeaProtectorOne to respond automatically to changing water levels and weather conditions, while its modular construction makes the system adaptable to different waterways and local conditions.
Designed with both continuous operation and the surrounding environment in mind, the system allows fish and other aquatic life to pass while capturing floating waste. Once collected, the material can be sorted and processed – creating the starting point for the wider circular value chain at the heart of the Riverguard Initiative.

How the system works
SeaProtectorOne is designed to operate continuously with minimal intervention. The system adapts to changing conditions, captures floating waste and automatically transfers the collected material out of the water – ready for the next step in the value chain.
Technology is only the starting point
Capturing plastic is only the first step. Within Riverguard, collection technology is connected to a wider system for sorting, processing, certification, recycling and market-based use of the recovered material.
This means that the technology is not treated as a stand-alone clean-up solution, but as the starting point of a value chain designed to create both environmental and economic value.
