Together with Engineers Without Borders Denmark, Danish Engineering Service, and our local partner, World Hope International, OPF has entered into an agreement with the Mayor’s Office in the capital of Sierra Leone, Freetown City Council, regarding a location for waste management. The location in the capital, Freetown, will be used for handling plastic waste collected by the ocean plastic barrier. Here, the plastic will be sorted, cleaned, and recycled. The processes for this are being developed in close collaboration with local authorities.
