Our ongoing project in Sierra Leone is making steady progress. We’ve successfully developed and produced a prototype of our floating barrier, which has been brought to Freetown for testing. Representatives from Engineers Without Borders Denmark, World Hope International, and Skill Pool Sierra Leone collaborated on this effort.
The primary objective of the test was to comprehensively examine the barrier’s performance in real-world conditions and explore its capacity to effectively collect waste. We are pleased to report that the results from the testing phase have exceeded our expectations. The barrier has proven its mettle, showcasing remarkable functionality in tackling the pressing issue of waste management in the waters of Freetown. With the insights gained from this testing, we are now focused on further refining the barrier’s design.
